Context
Our launch pendant uses a phurba form, distinct from the vajra implement discussed below. See the Met’s phurba collection record. The name Vajra Will expresses our brand identity; it is not a claim that these traditional objects are interchangeable.
What Is Vajra?
Vajra is a Sanskrit term used for a ritual implement in several Buddhist traditions.
Traditional Context
Museum records document vajra forms with multiple prongs, including a five-prong form. Its meaning, use, and visual language depend on the specific religious and cultural setting.
Vajra Will Interpretation
Discipline, clarity, resolve and self-mastery are our contemporary brand values. They are not presented as traditional religious definitions.
Vajra Will is a contemporary product brand. We do not describe our work as a sacred object, a blessed object, or a source of protection or healing. For historical and religious context, we encourage learning from established cultural institutions and practitioners.
